Anti-wrinkle treatment

Facial lines and wrinkles occur despite our best efforts. Time, gravity, sun exposure are the primary culprits. Lines and wrinkles can typically be classified as dynamic or static. Dynamic lines occur due to excess muscle activity in the face, known as facial expression lines. Static lines are not necessarily due to excess muscle activity, but are essentially just there from one of the above causes.

Botulinum toxin works by temporarily relaxing (weakening) muscles of the face. The most common areas that are treated are frown lines (between the eyebrows), forehead horizontal lines, crows feet lines and a few other not so common areas. Anyone with lines and wrinkles due to excess muscle activity may be considered a candidate for botulinum toxin injection.

Botulinum toxin is manufactured under several names such as Dysport® and Xeomin®
Leading brands for the Gummy Smile

A gummy smile is an aesthetic disorder that can cause both men and women to be self-conscious about their appearance and social interactions. This condition is caused by the complex interaction between several facial muscles.

Botulinum toxin could be used to immobilise the upper lip muscle that pulls the lip high over the teeth, therefore showing less gums when smiling.

What can Dysport do for you?

Whenever you laugh, frown, concentrate or squint, your facial muscles contract and your skin creases. As you get older your skin loses its elasticity and those creases deepen into lines that become more permanent. Frown lines between your eyes can become particularly noticeable at a relatively young age, making you look angry, or worried, even leading onto stress headaches by prolonged frowning.

By temporarily immobilising the muscles you use to frown. Dysport can smooth out those lines, restoring your face to a more relaxed stress free position. Because you will be physically unable to frown after treatment, you may lose the urge to frown. The lasting effect of treatment with Dysport can differ between individuals, but usually will last up to 5 months, after which further courses of treatment may be necessary. Many people find after several treatments they have “unlearned” the habit of frowning or squinting that originally led to the development of these lines.

Treatment takes less than 20 minutes and results can be seen within the first week.

Dysport is a prescription medicine and can only be administered by a registered medical professional who has an excellent understanding of the muscles of the face.

Dermal Fillers

Lip Enhancement
Dermal fillers are used to enhance the lips and create a fuller, but natural looking, lip line. As we age the lips become thinner and smaller, developing those fine vertical lines around the edges that are a real giveaway sign of ageing. Full, plump lips are very youthful looking whereas thin lips can be very ageing and give the face a rather miserable look. We use hyaluronic acid fillers that are specifically designed to restore natural fullness and create beautifully shaped lips.
For Plumper, Fuller Lips.
Dermal Fillers
We use hyaluronic acid fillers that are specifically designed to restore natural fullness and create beautifully shaped lips. We have all seen the results when too much filler has been used to plump the lips, so our aim is to produce a beautiful, subtle enhancement.
How many treatments will you need
The effects last between three-twelve months and then a repeat treatment will be necessary.
The results
Natural looking, subtle results – extra volume is added to the main body of the lip, the vermillion border of the lips is more defined and fine lines are diminished. Lips appear naturally youthful and plump giving a flattering and more attractive look without the risk of ‘trout pout’.
